Every LEDSSIWE dress is made to order by our own tailoring team — not pulled from a warehouse rack. This page shows exactly what happens between "place order" and your doorstep.

Why Made to Order

A mass-produced dress is cut to average proportions. A made-to-order dress is cut for your measurements or chosen size, with seam allowance for fine fitting. Less overproduction, less waste, and a fit that ready-to-wear formalwear rarely matches.

Our Process

1. Order & Confirmation (Day 0)

Your order arrives; for custom size, our team reviews the measurements you submit and emails to confirm them — or asks if a value looks unusual. Nothing is cut until you confirm.

2. Pattern & Cutting (Days 1–3)

Fabric is matched to the same dye lot, inspected, and cut for your order. Beading and lace placement are planned so motifs fall correctly.

3. Tailoring (Days 3–10)

Experienced seamstresses construct the dress: bodice and structure, skirt, closures, lining, and finishes. Our gowns are built with boning, bust support, and standard seam allowance for local alterations.

4. Quality Control (Days 10–12)

Each dress is checked against the order: style, color, measurements, seams, zippers, beading, and finish. It is steamed and carefully packed.

5. Express Delivery (3–5 business days)

Shipped via tracked express carriers to the US. You receive tracking the moment it leaves our studio.

Total: 7–12 business days of tailoring + 3–5 business days shipping (10–17 business days typical).

Fit, Done Responsibly

· Standard size chart US 2–16 and Plus 16W–26W, plus free custom sizing

· Every gown includes seam allowance for local pressing and fine fitting

· Floor-length styles are adjusted for your heel height (+5 cm / 2 in)

Our Materials

Every LEDSSIWE gown uses fabrics and trims selected by our atelier — satins, chiffons, tulles and laces chosen for how they move and photograph, with hand-finished beading and embroidery on our embellished styles. Detailed fabric composition is listed on each product page.

Can I see real photos of the workshop?

Yes — visit our Our Story page for images from the Suzhou atelier, including the cutting tables, sewing floor and finishing steps. More workshop photography is being added with every collection.

Where are dresses made?

Our dresses are tailored in our own factory in Suzhou, China (the Huqiu wedding-dress and eveningwear manufacturing hub), and shipped worldwide with tracked express delivery.

What if it doesn't fit?

Standard sizes can be exchanged or returned within 14 days; custom orders are remade free if we made them incorrectly against confirmed measurements. See our Return Policy.

Can I change my order?

Only before cutting begins — within 24 hours. See our Cancellation Policy.
