Custom Size & Made-to-Order Policy

Every LEDSSIWE dress is made to order by our tailoring team — you are not buying a dress sitting on a warehouse shelf. This policy explains how custom sizing works, what we need from you, and how we protect your fit.

1. Standard Size vs. Custom Size

Option

How it works

Best for

Standard Size

Made to our standard size chart (US 2–16 and Plus 16W–26W)

Measurements within 1 inch / 2.5 cm of one size

Custom Size

Made to your exact measurements, provided per our measuring guide

Between sizes, petite/tall, plus size, or any non-standard proportions

Custom sizing is free — there is no extra charge for made-to-measure orders, and no extra production delay beyond our standard 7–12 business day tailoring time. (2026-09-12 confirmed)

2. How to Take Your Measurements

Please follow our [Size Chart & Measuring Guide] carefully:

· Use a soft measuring tape; do not use a ruler or metal tape.

· Wear the undergarments (and heels, for floor-length styles) you plan to wear with the dress.

· Keep the tape snug but not tight — you should be able to slip one finger underneath.

· Bust is not your bra size; measure the fullest part.

· If possible, have someone else measure you. Self-measured values are the most common cause of fit issues.

Required measurements:

1. Bust

2. Waist (natural waistline)

3. Hips (fullest part)

4. Hollow to floor (barefoot)

5. Height (barefoot)

6. Heel height — for floor-length dresses and gowns with trains, we automatically add 5 cm / 2 in when heels are planned

The same six measurements apply to every style, including long sleeves — no additional shoulder, arm, or sleeve measurements are required. (2026-09-12 confirmed)

3. Submitting Measurements

· Submit custom measurements in the order notes at checkout, or reply to your order confirmation email within 24 hours of payment.

· We will review and confirm your measurements by email before cutting begins, and may contact you if a value looks unusual.

· Production begins only after measurements are confirmed. Delays in responding to our confirmation emails delay your delivery date.

4. Your Responsibility

Please double-check every number before submitting, preferably in both centimeters and inches:

· We tailor to the measurements you confirm in writing.

· We cannot remake or refund a custom dress made correctly to measurements that were submitted incorrectly.

· Weight fluctuations between ordering and the event are the customer's responsibility; where fabric allows, our dresses are finished with standard seam allowance to support local alteration.

5. Fit Guarantee — What We Cover

A custom-size dress is final sale except when it is made incorrectly against the measurements you confirmed. If the finished garment deviates from your confirmed measurements by more than:

· Bust / waist / hips: ±2 cm (0.8 in)

· Hollow to floor / length: ±2 cm (0.8 in)

email us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the dress laid flat with a measuring tape at each affected point. Once verified, we will remake it at no charge with expedited delivery or, if the event date no longer allows time for a remake, agree a partial or full refund.

Normal comfort ease, seam allowance, and fit preference are not defects — formalwear is intentionally structured, and exact body-tight fit is neither standard nor recommended.

6. Alteration Allowance

All dresses are constructed with standard seam allowance so a local tailor can take in or let out minor areas. We recommend budgeting time and a small fee for local pressing or fine fitting, which is normal for formal and bridal wear.

7. Questions

Unsure whether you need custom size? Send your measurements and the style name to sales@ledssiwe.shop before ordering — we are happy to advise.
